Managing Partner

Robert D’Cruz started as an agent with New York Life in March 2009, and quickly built a successful career with the company winning numerous awards during his short time as an agent including the Career Life - Success, Producer and Foundation Awards.  He qualified for Executive Council* twice in his first year and was promoted to Partner in April 2010.  During his time as a Partner, Robert has been awarded the Gathering of Eagles Award in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and the ‘Excellence in Recruiting’ award in 2013. He also qualified for the Top 50 Leading Partner Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Robert has been married to his lovely wife Marina for 32 years.  They have owned four businesses and raised two beautiful children, Ryan & Mariah.  Robert has always been very involved in his local community with everything from volunteering at the local Food Share to serving as the Chairman of the Board at his local Home Owners Association in the neighborhood that he lived in.  In his spare time, Robert likes to read, travel, ski, play guitar and soccer.  As someone who loves the game, he also volunteered as a soccer coach for his city’s recreational soccer program for 8 years.  Coaching, mentoring and developing people is not just a career for Robert, it is his mission.  He is passionate about recruiting and has earned accolades for building a strong, highly ethical and culturally diverse team of producers and Partners during his career.

Now as the Managing Partner of the East Bay General Office Robert brings this passion and commitment with him to East Bay.  The East Bay General Office is committed to being recognized as a Group 1 office at New York Life in the shortest possible time.  We have an amazing team of agents, managers and staff working together to do it.  Our strategy is simple - strong recruiting, development and retention of new agents combined with support, training and mentoring to develop leaders in the office who can then help with the growth of the office by developing their own teams of professionals.
